Where to buy stuff.
BH FreshFoods 6 Chin Bee Crescent.
We get all our meats, seafoods here at wholesale prices,
and yes, grass fed beef as well.
Note to all, they will be SPECIALLY opened next Sunday, 23rd January 2011.
after which, it's back to normal, Mondays to Saturdays till 5pm.
Whatever you buy, please, don't dump the meat etc into the freezer as if it's some basketball,
because in doing so, it will cause a tear in vacuum pack, resulting in the food being burnt.
And if that is the last item, the next guy can't buy it or buys it, and it's spoilt.
Be considerate. And yes, I fuck people who do that, really very MCB type. And no, I don't run the place,
I have been buying my meats and seafood from them for many years now, and I hate it when that happens.
Can organize a mini meetup there also.

Then I go weekday, weekend sure pack like siao one with the newspaper advert.
Re: Where to buy stuff.
Have not been to their factory outlet before. Did buy grassfed ribeye from the Square 2 branch, probably the few moment I could afford grass fed beef. Is the price the same between the Factory outlet and the Retail outlet? Chin Bee is way out for me..
I also bought their frozen salmon belly with skin, think was about $9++ per pack, but the same packing at Fassler (Woodlands Terrance) is cheaper at $7.50

I really won't know, I only buy direct form the factory outlet, all the branches I don't bother going to. Salmon wise, there are different qualities.
I don't take salmon that often so not much bothered. Meat wise for me, noting beats them, specially beef.

Make sure early. I just went and got myself some beef, 4kgs, spare ribs, german sausages, (try)
rest I got last week, and also, 2kgs of Bah Kwa......from the other side. $43.50 per kg, sliced.
Re: Where to buy stuff.
I bought 1kg of frangrance bah kua for my parents - they had a special promo for my office - S$38 for sliced I think

Not bad price, BH selling cheaper if I heard the Sales Manager correct.
I will whack lah. One of the very very few and rare times for me to indulge
in Bah Kwa. Anyway, 2kg is small chicken shit to my boys and me,
we had one terok one when we whacked 6kgs in 2 days. My sister came back
complaining we didn't leave any for her. I burped and told her, "Faster smell...
that's the best I can do, mei!"
I'll be so worn out from cooking. Makan few days, after that, back to my regular makan.
Re: Where to buy stuff.
I think Yan Chuan also has bakua for sale - S$36 or S$38 per kg
Never buy - just order 1 suckling and 1 golden piglet

Just visited MMMM at West Coast Plaza, the selection is not too bad, can make regular visits from now on - the factory is also near my place as I am in the West. But I have not been to the Novena shop, reckon it shd be the same. They have quite a wide spread, including some wagyu cuts too.

This is my own personal opinion. I don't bother with all the so called cuts etc.. all I go for now are, frozen mutton cubes, to cook my rendang,
pork ribs, ground pork, beef flank (occasional sort of thing, but cutting down on my lean beef intake) Beef cubes, livers, and seafood.
You don't really need to eat all expensive to burn fat, once in a while, indulge in a beef steak, not a everyday affair thing.
I have three dishes, e.g fried eggs, (oil) mutton,, chicken or fish. That's it.
Re: Where to buy stuff.
No lah, the usual stuff are simple meats, like pork belly/bacon and eggs. Can't afford to eat like CBS, lol! Its more like a treat once in a while - think about it, this will be cheaper than a meal outside anyway!

True, but I gave out on outside steaks years ago, totally 10000% CMI.
Except for the stables at the mandarin hotel, but you had to PAY for quality.
Hmm...maybe one day we MU at BH and I teach you a thing or two on beef.
Re: Where to buy stuff.

Re: Where to buy stuff.
Have been buying meats from the West Coast outlet. The pork ribs there are affordable, quite a big slab for about 4-5 bucks which can make me half a meal. Saw this pack of wagyu sausage the other time but no indication of its ingredients, bought it anyway to try. Not too salty i thought, but pls peel off that layer of skin which seems like plastic to me before cooking it
Going there tomorrow again to stock up on the ribs and maybe some lamb leg woohoo

WTF! Don't tell me you near my place! Taman Jurong ah? I think that clown blur like fuck lah, warehouse still open to public sales,
only one NOT open is QB Foods, some bastard went and complain them or what, and they kana told to shut down their operations, selling to
public, I went there in January, the woman was so fucking curt, bitch about people complaining, as if I was the one, I told her to fuck off, and that if that was the way she spoke to customers, no doubt they deserved to be closed down for her fucking bitching. Anyway, their makan not suitable for us also, cheese etc.. BH is still the best choice, prices also cheaper then QB, beef, pork etc..

HAM!!
Product is from USA, like the Christmas bone in Gammon Ham, but as Berkshire Kurobuta. It's Uncured, Nitrate free ham. Nitrate free is the newest way to make process items. In the old way, nitrate or nitrites. is added to cured meat. We use starter culture extract from celery to bring the natural nitrate from meat to cured meat. This is what market call all natural Ham ... or uncured ham. This allowed us to use all natural ingredients and not add any preservative or chemical in the making of our ham.
